Gorgeous-Looking RPG Sand Land Shows Off Combat, Exploration, and More in New Gameplay Trailer

Bandai Namco has excitedly presented an extensive gameplay trailer, lasting nine minutes, for its upcoming RPG adventure, Sand Land. This game draws inspiration from the manga created by the acclaimed Akira Toriyama. The gameplay footage delves deeply into the storyline, battle mechanics, exploration, and additional game features.

The introduction highlights the central characters: the protagonist, Beelzebub, his demon companion known as Thief, and Rao, the human lawman. They journey together through the game, lending their expertise to navigate challenges and confrontations.

Dispelling potential concerns that the game's environments might be monotonous, Bandai Namco assures players that the game's namesake desert is just a portion of a broader, lush in-game world waiting to be discovered.

When it comes to combat, Beelzebub is depicted as a nimble combatant capable of executing swift combo attacks both on terra firma and aerially. He has also mastered stealth tactics, giving players various ways to engage foes.

A dynamic feature of Sand Land is the skill trees for the characters. Players can unlock potent abilities, like Beelzebub's transformation into metal or the impressive "Dark Release" attack. Companions are also equipped with their unique skill trees.

Water plays a crucial role in this RPG, mirroring a real-world necessity. A replenished water bottle is a healing tool for the characters, making resource management a subtle but critical aspect of gameplay.

Vehicles are a standout element in Sand Land, with a diverse array, including the nimble Jump Bot, the water-adaptive Hover Car, and the robust Battle Armor capable of clearing pathways. Players can store up to five vehicles in capsules, ready for various situations.

Combat extends to vehicle use, where their enhanced durability and offensive capabilities are essential against formidable adversaries. Customizing these vehicles ensures their improved functionality and survival on the battlefield, complete with intricate customization options reminiscent of advanced vehicle combat games.

The narrative also transports players to Spino City, a desert hub that offers a slew of merchants, vehicle customization services, and personal space for players to decorate, providing a slice of civilization amidst the vast deserts. Spino City will flourish and evolve, reflecting the player's progress through missions and enemy conquests. More NPCs and items will populate the city as the game advances.

Sand Land is set for release on PC, PlayStation platforms, and Xbox Series X|S on April 26th, promising to be an unforgettable journey through the creative genius of Toriyama's world.
