Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Hints at Possible Campaign DLC

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II isn’t released yet, but we already hear about potential DLC. The leak from an insider hints that the DLC is already being at least discussed, and this will be a campaign one. Given that most Call of Duty installments receive DLC related to the multiplayer part, an addition to the campaign would be a great thing.
The tweet by @TheGhostOfHope tells that the DLC will probably appear sometime in 2023. It won’t make sense to release it later, because by that time the next Call of Duty installment may be out (unless the rumors are true, and in 2023 it will take its time to prepare something even bigger). But if the next title doesn’t arrive in 2023, then the DLC will be received even warmer.
The tweet, though, contains no information about what this DLC will be. Probably, so far it only exists as a why-not concept. It may happen that the open world mode and the DLC in question may be the same; if so, why not? An open world Call of Duty game would indeed be something new, and this will really give the game an adrenalin shot it will need when played through by most.
Indeed, it’s a logical step. Modern Warfare II is a story-oriented game, and replaying it won’t be so much fun, especially given that it guides the player along the storyline. There have been some rumors about an open world mode, which would make the game much more replayable, but there’s no confirmation. So, a good DLC will be demanded by players which want more of this adventure, and, given the highest-level visuals and new interesting mechanics, they will be many.
It's too early to ask you how you liked Modern Warfare II. But if you like the story and the visuals (it’s hard not to like, after the trailers), would you enjoy more adventures in the same setting? Do you believe there will be an open world mode? Tell us what you think in the comments!
